Waterford are through to the knockout stages of the Division 2 camogie league after a dominant second half display against Kilkenny at a windswept WIT Arena (1-16 to 0-8).
Déise captain Lorraine Bray led by example with five points from play from midfield. Target woman Vikki Falconer fired 1-3 from full forward. Rachael Walsh also impressed at number seven.
The home side played against the stiff breeze in the first half but the sides were all square at the break (1-4 to 0-7). Falconer whipped to the net on 27 minutes.
With wind assistance, Waterford outscored their opponents by 12 points to one in the second period. Carton hit four, Falconer and Bray got three each while Niamh Ahearne and Sarah Lacey also split the posts. Asha McHardy converted a consolation free for Kilkenny in injury time.
Derek Lyons' side travel to Tipperary in Round 3 on March 12.
