High-flying Blues welcome St. Pat's to the RSC

Waterford FC welcome St. Patrick’s Athletic FC to the RSC this coming Thursday in their latest SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division clash.

The Blues look to pick up their second win in as many games after the mid-season break.

A first-half double from Connor Parsons & Dean McMenamy saw the Blues defeat the Lilywhites 2-0 in Oriel Park last Friday evening.

The Blues have thrived playing at home in recent months, with impressive wins against Dundalk (4-1), Drogheda United (4-2) & Bohemians (2-1), as Waterford FC have been backed in massive numbers at the RSC in recent weeks.

Waterford comfortably defeated St. Patrick’s Athletic 3-1 at the RSC back in March thanks to a Padraig Amond first-half brace before a stunning Maleace Asamoah solo goal stole the show as they picked up their first home win of the season.

With 22 league games played, the Blues occupy third spot in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division game with 34 points to their name ahead of the visit of St. Patrick’s Athletic to the RSC on Thursday.

Stephen Kenny brings his side to the RSC looking to pick up their first win of the season against the Blues. After falling to a 3-1 defeat against Waterford back in March, both sides had to settle for a share of the points in a 1-1 draw in April in Richmond Park.

The Inchicore outfit come into the game on the back of a scoreless tie against Bohemians in Richmond Park last Friday in their first game back from the mid-season break.
