The games continue to come thick and fast as Waterford FC are back in action this evening with a trip to face Dundalk in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.
Friday’s defeat at home to Limerick will have hurt the Blues squad and they’ll look to bounce back against top of the table Dundalk.
The Blues fell behind early and were a man down after half an hour, but showed plenty of fight to give themselves a chance throughout the game, but it wasn’t to be as Limerick left with the points.
The Blues won 2-1 in the RSC at the start of May with two goals from Izzy Akinade, while Dundalk grabbed all three points in Oriel Park in March with a late own goal downing the Blues.
Speaking after Friday's loss to the Shannonsiders, Waterford manager Alan Reynolds says the fixture list is demanding on his players.
Despite the recent run of results, Alan says he's pleased tobe third on the league table
Kick-off in Oriel Park is at 7:45, Matt Keane will have updates across the evening here on WLR.
