The 15 stage of the Tour De France poses a tall order for the peloton as they are expected to scale the mammoth Grand Colombier in order to reach the finish line.
It’s the first time the Grand Colombier hosts a stage finish of the Tour de France. Two contenders of the 2020 Tour de France have won up there: Thibaut Pinot in 2011 and 2019 and Primoz Roglic last month.
The climb is un-categorized dye to its severity and will not be a welcome sight to all but thew most manic climbers in the Tour.
After yesterdays stage the riders legs will be tired and Sam Bennett is no different. He's put in two heavy days of riding and now aims to finish the monster climb to maintain his grip on the green jersey - he increased his points differential earlier today having taken two points in the intermediate sprint - the gap is now at 45 points to Peter Sagan challenging in second.
