Barr rules himself out of Worlds due to injury

Thomas Barr will not be competing in the World Athletics Championships this year.

The 31-year-old Waterford athlete was due to compete in the upcoming championships, in the 400m Hurdles.

Barr has been forced to withdraw, as it's confirmed he's picked up an injury in training this week.

Having ruled himself out from competing two weeks ahead of the World Athletics Championships, the extent of his injuries is not yet known and a timeline hasn't been confirmed as to when the Déise man will be back in action.
