Ballymacarbry sharpshooter, Sinéad Kenrick, has been named the November winner of the WLR/Granville Hotel GAA Award.

Sinéad kicked four points from play as Ballymacarbry won their first Munster Championship title in 22 years in early November.

She was instrumental in Mike Guiry's side grinding out an 8-5 win over The Banner at the Mallow GAA Complex to bring the Michael Ryan Trophy home.

She also found the net against Comeragh Rangers, as Ballymac completed 41 county titles in a row the  month before.

"We went straight through until two or three weeks ago when we were knocked out of championship," Sinéad told WLR Sport, reflecting on a very busy year.

"I suppose, the ultimate goal that we had at the start of the year was to win that Munster trophy so we were absolutely thrilled to bring that home.

"... You know, we had been trying for years to bring that trophy home. For 22 long, tough years we've been trying to bring it home and that day in Mallow was just absolutely unbelievable.

"There wasn't a dry eye that day. I think everyone was just so happy and so thrilled that that cup was finally coming home."

A former Waterford captain, Sinéad won the All-Ireland Intermediate title in 2015, alongside her sisters, Michelle and Louise.

She also picked up the 2010 Intermediate Golden Boot, after shooting 11-24 for the Déise.

This is the penultimate WLR/Granville Hotel GAA Award for 2022.
