The Ballymacarbry ladies bowed out of the Munster championship with a 4-12 to 1-5 semi final defeat to Mourneabbey this afternoon.
Laura Fitzgerald scored a hat trick for the home side while substitute Ciara O'Callaghan also found the net. Cork star Doireann O'Sullivan shot five points.
Claire Walsh got an early goal for Ballymac while Michelle Ryan, Mairead Wall, Aileen Wall, Sadhbh Hallinan and Brid McMaugh all raised white flags.
Ballymac boss Michael Ryan felt that they didn't play to their potential. "We're very disappointed to be honest about it. We had a few chances early on and missed a few chances. Against this crowd, you need to take those chances. Overall, we have no complaints, we were beaten by the better team."
