Séamus Power scored not one but two aces in the famous Wednesday Par Three contest ahead of the Masters at Augusta National.

A total of five holes-in-one were made in the Par 3 Contest including one by the defending Masters champion, Scottie Scheffler.

The flurry brought the total number of aces in the history of the event to 107.

Power’s first ace, the first in the field, came at the 114-yard 8th hole, which plays downhill over Ike’s Pond. The ball landed past the flag and, in Augusta National fashion, slowly fed down a slope and into the cup.

His ace on the next hole, the 135-yard 9th, followed a similar path once it hit the green.

It's just the third time in the history of the event that a player has had two holes in one in the Par 3 event.

However he was automatically disqualified from the Par 3 Contest for letting his brother Jack hit a putt.

Power starts his second appearance at the Masters today at 2.48pm.
