There was delight for Dungarvan trainer John Queally on day one of the Ebor York Racing Festival as 11/4 shot Arcadian Sunrise justified favoritism to come from last to first and land the Sky Bet Handicap over 2 miles.
Ridden patiently and stealthily by Jamie Spencer, the 7-year-old landed on the line with a fine finish on the outside to score with 1 and a quarter lengths to spare from the Tom Dascombe trained Rajinsky.
The only Irish contender in the field, Queally and Arcadian Sunrise take back the top prize.

The son of Arcadio struck to add to some promising form of late having been successful over hurdles at both Galway and Punchestown, making it 3 wins in his last 6 runs.
