This is the third weekend since club hurling has been back in Waterford.
The first weekend opened up with junior and intermediate games as a palette cleanser on what had been a barren period for local sports activity.
Last weekend saw the return of the big hitters with senior activity when Ballygunner laid down the marker on their campaign to retain the county championship for a 7th straight year. Ballysaggart lined out for their first ever senior game in their 135 years - but they did not have enough for De La Salle who ran hoe comfortable winners. Mt. Sion were pushed by Clonea in Walsh park having gone down to 14 men at half time, while Dungarvan and Fourmilewater played out a tight affair which was decided by a single point.
Moving on to this weekends action - there is no senior or intermediate games on Friday but six Junior Games take centre stage.
All of today's games get underway at seven o clock
Saturday holds more appeal with two senior clashes between Lismore and Fourmilewater as well as Abbeyside and Ballysaggart - both those games in Fraher Field. There's also intermediate action with Portlaw playing St Molleran's and Butlerstown against Fenor.
Wrapping up the weekend on Sunday, there's eleven games in total. Senior action predominates when Roanmore and Clonea travel to Walsh Park for two o clock, while Passage and Tallow are in Fraher Field at six. There is also intermediate and junior games across the day with the first throw in at midday.
Updates will be available across the weekends action on WLR
