It's the first big weekend in the Co. Senior football Championship with the Quarter-Finals and Releegation play-offs down for decision.

Last year's beaten finalists Kilrossanty take on Ballinacourty in the opening last eight tie.

That one takes place tomorrow night @ 8:30 pm in Fraher Field, with the relegation tie between Ardmore and Portlaw preceding it at 7 pm.

Co. Board Chairman, Paddy Joe Ryan says it promises to be a bumper weekend of action, he spoke to WLR's Gavin Whelan during the week, listen to the piece here:

Paddy Joe says the all-Eastern clash between Rathgormack and Gaultier on Sunday afternoon is eagerly awaited.

That one throw's-in at 3 pm in Kill.

Stradbally and Clashmore / Kinsalebeg meet at 8pm in Fraher Field on Saturday night.

Paddy Joe Ryan says it's not an ideal time with the All-Ireland football Final on, but that it's hard to please everyone.

Defending champions The Nire take on An Rinn at 7pm on Sunday evening, with the curtain raiser seeing Brickey Rangers meeting Kilmacthomas @ 5:30 pm, both games take place in Fraher Field.

Meanwhile there's action tonight with the opening semi-final in the Co. Junior "B" Football Championship taking place:
