The Co. Senior hurling Championship Quarter-Final action continues today with three ties down for decision.

The opening game is an all-Eastern affair in Walsh Park this afternoon as De La Salle and Roanmore face off.

The Gracedieu-outfit captured the league title recently with an impressive win over Dungarvan, while the Sky Blues recorded a hard fought win over Ballyduff Upper in last weekend's play-off.

Co. Board Treasurer John Jackson says there won't be much between the sides.

Meanwhile, Fraher Field is set to stage a bumper crowd this evening with the remaining two Quarter-Finals forming a double header.

First up at 6pm is the clash of Lismore and Mount Sion who've produced some classic encounters down through the years.

Lismore automatically qualified for this stage by virtue of a big win over Passage in their final group game and will be keen to advance to the last eight.

'Sion saw off Clonea last weekend to reach their 11th consecutive Quarter-Final, their manager is John Meaney who says they were pleased with the win last Sunday.

John says there's a good friendly rivalry between both clubs.

The weekend action concludes with the highly anticipated local derby between Abbeyside and Dungarvan in Fraher Field at 7:30pm.

It's only the fourth championship meeting between the sides this decade.

Dungarvan overcame Fourmilewater in last weekend's play-off, while Abbeyside topped their group to automatically qualify for the last eight.

The Villagers will be without key players Sean Whelan-Barrett and Tom Looby for this evening's tussle, and boss Peter Queally says both players will be big losses.

Dungarvan manager Dermot Dee told WLR Sport there'll be very little between the teams.

Tomás McCarthy will have updates from across both venues throughout the day here on WLR.
