The Chairman of Waterford County Board has paid tribute to Paraic Fanning who stepped down as Waterford hurling manager yesterday evening.
The Mount Sion man who took over last September announced that he made the decision for personal reasons.
Waterford's hurlers reached the league final however they lost all their championship matches in Munster and finished bottom of the table in the round-robin series for the second year running.
We would like to wish Páraic Fanning and his selectors James Murray and Pa Kearney the very best and to thank them for their hard work with @WaterfordGAA Senior Hurlers. Páraic was always a gentleman to deal with. https://t.co/y8uF4J0pXW
