The Chairman of the Waterford County GAA Board says they are very disappointed that they were unsuccessful in their appeal to have their opening game in next year's hurling league returned to Walsh Park.
Waterford were one of four counties threatened with losing home advantage as punishment for breaching the rules on training camps.
Seventeen counties were originally investigated, but only four, Waterford, Wexford, Armagh and Laois, received punishment.
Waterford, along with Laois and Wexford appealed the decision to the Central Hearings Committee, arguing that although they were on away trips no rules were broken.
Wexford were successful with their attempt but Laois must forfeit home advantage for one of their Football League games.
Paddy Joe Ryan said the Waterford County Board were disappointed with the decision following the hearing in Croke Park, given that they had complied with all changes introduced last year.
Waterford's opening league game against Offaly will now be played at a neutral venue.
