Ballinameela are through to the Munster junior hurling final following a hard earned 1-15 to 0-14 win over Limerick champions Tournafulla at a wet and windy Fraher Field this afternoon.
A Jim Curran goal on four minutes and three points each by Tom Curran and Brendan Phelan left the home side 1-9 to 0-8 up at the break after playing with a stiff breeze.
Phelan sent over five second half frees as Ballinameela set up a provincial final meeting with Cloughduv from Cork on December 2 in Mallow.
It's the sixth year in a row that Waterford will be represented in the Munster junior hurling decider and manager Brian Beatty was relieved to get the job done.
He said that there were strong words in the dressing room at half time.
Three Deise sides have won this championship since 2013 and Beatty says that Ballinameela want to add their name to the roll of the honour.
