Waterford Wildcats will host the Marble City Hawks in the Women's Super League this evening
The Waterford side defeated NUIG in their last outing at the local venue.
Sinead Deegan is the captain of the Wildcats and she says it will be an exciting local derby. She told WLR Sport, they'll have to improve from their last game.
Tip-off at the Mercy Gym is at 7pm.
Meanwhile on the men's front, It's a case of top Vs. bottom on the double this weekend as WIT Vikings travel to the Killarney Sports Centre for a 7.30 PM tip-off against the team in second spot in the league St Pauls Killarney.
Then on Sunday WIT Vikings play host to the only unbeaten team in the league Ballincollig, this game has a 3pm tip off in the WIT Sports Hall on the Cork Road.
This is a big ask of the young WIT Vikings team but their performance over the weekend will let them know how much progress they have made since entering the league.
