It's a local derby affair in the second Western Intermediate hurling Championship semi-final this evening.

Ardmore and Clashmore / Kinsalebeg will battle it out for a place in the divisional decider against Ballysaggart.

Last years All-Ireland Junior hurling champions, picked up their first win of the season overcoming a fancied Brickey Rangers in the Quarter-Final.

Clashmore/Kinsalebeg were unimpressive but ground out a hard fought one point win over Stradbally in their Quarter-Final.

The action in Fraher Field is underway at 7pm.

Elsewhere, there were two games this morning in the Co. Minor hurling Championship

In the Division 2 play-off St. Mary's overcame St. Oliver's in Ballinameela by 3-14 to 1-19.

In Division 3, Ballyduff Upper got the better of Cappoquin on a scoreline of 8-16 to 4-10.
