Fraher Field hosts a busy day of County Senior football championship action with the opening game seeing a meeting of local sides Brickey Rangers and Dungarvan in the first Relegation play-off.
Dungarvan, who claimed the Intermediate crown last season, narrowly lost out to Clashmore/Kinsalebeg in the recent play-off suffering a two point defeat after extra-time.
Brickey Rangers have had a disappointing campaign to date, losing their three group games, while Kilrossanty proved too strong for them in the Quarter-Final play-off.
The sides face off at 2:00pm.
The remaining Quarter-Finals in the Co. Senior football Championship also take place today, with two local derby affairs in Fraher Field.
Comeragh neighbours The Nire and Rathgormack meet for a 3:30pm throw-in.
The Ballymacarbry outfit suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Stradbally in a thrilling Co. Final last year and will keen to return to the last four.
Rathgormack recovered from a disappointing final group game loss to overcome Ardmore in the recent play-off.
The Quarter-Final action concludes with what's billed to be the game of the weekend, as near neighbours Stradbally and Kilrossanty battle in out for a last four spot at 7:00pm this evening.
The Reds claimed a dramatic win in last year's final and beat their neighbours along the way.
Stradbally eased through their group campaign recording three wins to automatically qualify for the last eight.
Kilrossanty finished their group campaign with a good win against Gaultier, and put up an impressive score overcoming Brickey Rangers in the play-off.
The sides are looking to join Ballinacourty, who came good in the second half to defeat Gaultier 2-16 to 0-10 in their Quarter-Final in Leamybrien last night.
Courty fell five points down after 22 minutes but scored 2-11 in the second period to run out comfortable winners. Late goals from Mark Ferncombe and David Looby booked their spot in the last four.
Courty boss Peter Queally was pleased with their second half efforts. Speaking to WLR Sport, he said:
"We had all sorts of trouble there in the first half, the elements were slightly against us. We were finding it hard to get to grips with the game, making a lot of errors, handling errors, just finding it hard to make inroads. But the lads showed a bit of patience and I made a few changes at half time, them guys came on and did well. With the elements at our back, once we got into a lead we seemed to kick on and kick some good scores. We're just delighted to get over the line to be honest."
