Passage knocked Dungarvan out of the county senior hurling championship for the third year in a row with an emphatic 5-18 to 0-15 victory at Walsh Park last night.
Goals from Stephen Lynch, Owen Connors, Liam Flynn, Richard Hurley and Eoin Kelly set up a semi final clash with neighbours Ballygunner. Owen Connors struck 1-9 for the runaway winners.
Manager John Tracey felt that it was their most complete display during his time in charge.
Speaking to WLR Sport after last night's action, he expects another lively encounter with Ballygunner next month.
In the curtain raiser, defending champions Ballygunner were give a stern test by their neighbours Roanmore before eventually coming out on top by 1-16 to 1-13 in Walsh Park.
The Sky Blues brought a great level of work rate to the table and the sides were level at the break, 1- 6 to 0-9 with Brian Sullivan netting the goal for the Gunners.
Ballygunner did up the pace upon the resumption but Roanmore came roaring back into the game and a late Eoin Madigan goal left just a point between the sides but the champions held on after a real battle.
Pauric Mahony ended with 0-11 points for the Gunners.
Gunners boss Fergal Hartley admitted that it was their toughest test of the year so far.
Fergal says they can't afford to only play in patches of games and is something they'll be looking to work on.
Fergal told WLR Sport the test will stand his charges in good sted going into the last four.
The Waterford SHC Semi Final draw was made after last night's games, with two hugely anticipated last four ties:
Abbeyside v De La Salle, and Ballygunner v Passage.
