Three games were played last night in the Waterford Premier League and Ferrybank were the big winners on the night. They defeated Dungarvan United 7-0 in Kilrush Park. Eoin Rhodes netted a hat-trick for the visitors. Sean Flynn scored a brace and Shane Dineen and Meschac Babatu were also on the mark for last seasons runners-up.
Tramore AFC defeated their neighbours Tramore Rangers 3-1 in the derby match at the Orchard. Sam Sheppard scored twice for the victors and Brandon Deady scored a penalty. Daithi Purcell was the Rangers goalscorer.
Waterford Crystal proved too strong for the Villa in their new ground. Ian Barry, Aidan Tracey and Jake Mooney scored as they ran out 3-0 winners.
The champions Carrick United host Bohemians in Tom Drohan Park this evening at 6:30pm.
