Ireland's Sam Bennett sprinted to success in the 7th stage of the Giro d'Italia to win his first ever Grand Tour stage.
The Waterford man pipped Elia Viviani at the finish line at yesterday's leg between Pizzo and Praia a Mare.
Bennet completed the 159km stage in a time of 3 hours 45 minutes and 27 seconds.

The Carrick-on-Suir rider is the first Irish winner of a stage since Stephen Roche in 1987
