The Gaelic Players' Association are seeking clarity from the Camogie Association about their plans for the upcoming season.
It's understood that camogie's governing body are planning to play the national league, then the club campaign before the inter-county championship later in the year.
82 percent of women's GPA members had recently indicated that they were against that proposed calendar.
Deise shot-stopper Brianna O' Regan isn't happy with the proposal
"The stats are there. I seen tweets last night, and everyone's in the same boat. I saw Laura Tracy's tweet last night, and her views are very strong on it as well. It's kind of bamboozling to know, where they got this out of, they didn't approach anyone, and they just came up with themselves. They asked us, what was our view at the start of the year, they came out with a survey, and we give our views on it, and you could see that 80% wanted in a split season."
With hurling and football for men adopting a split calendar this year following the success of last years covid affected season, the players are now left wondering why they have been left behind once again.
"I think it should be county league and then county championship first, like the way it always was, and then go straight into club. It's kind of unfair on us as players and then our own clubs, we're all kind of stuck in one boat, really. We're with county and then we're not given a full shot at club then."
"I think it's just so unfair, and that it really needs to be sorted as soon as possible"
For O' Regan, there's a simple solution to calendar of games.
"I'd go County League, County Championship and then go back to club to give it a right shot because I play Gaelic football with Erins Owns as well here in Watford. So it's kind of all over the place at the moment. So I'd like to see County Camogie go completely first and then go back to our clubs"
