First All Star award for Niamh Rockett

Waterford camogie captain Niamh Rockett has claimed her first All Star award. She was named at number ten on the 2020 team which was revealed at a virtual ceremony on Saturday night.
The St Annes attacker scored 3-4 from play in the All Ireland championship. She gave a player of the match performance against Limerick, shooting 2-2 in a winner takes all clash at Walsh Park. She added another goal against Westmeath a week later and two points in the quarter final loss to Tipperary. She joins previous Waterford winners Beth Carton and Lorraine Bray.
All Ireland champions Kilkenny collected six awards with Denise Gaule crowned Player of the Year.
