Roanmore are the Co. Junior A Football champions following a comfortable win over 14-man Shamrocks at Walsh Park this afternoon
It's the first ever County Junior Football title for the Eastern champions.
The Sky Blues bossed the sides from the start and at half time it was 4 points to 2
Billy Nolan gave a tour de force at midfield he ended with 6 points, 5 from frees in a superb and man of the match performance from the inter-county hurler.
Shamrocks failed to score from play in the opening period and Shane Roche was dismissed from a second yellow card early in the second half as frustration got the better of the Knockanore men.
With five minutes to play Sean Roche put the result beyond doubt with a soccer style kick to the back of the net.
The final score was 1-10 to 0-2 and Roanmore will now play in the Intermediate ranks in 2021.
