The Waterford footballers suffered a one point defeat to Wexford in last night's Division 4 Allianz League encounter at a wet and windy Fraher Field (2-3 to 0-8).
Ben Brosnan and Niall Hughes netted in either half as Paul Galvin's men picked up their second win of the campaign.
The home side got the last three points through Darragh Corcoran, Conor Murray and Jason Curry but couldn't find the equaliser.

Hard Luck to our Senior Footballers after a great battle in what were very tough conditions!— Waterford GAA (@WaterfordGAA) February 8, 2020
Waterford boss Benji Whelan felt that they deserved a share of the spoils; "They showed the commitment that was required in the second half there, they out-worked Wexford, we backed ourselves, we took it on and we kept plugging away. We worked harder than them I thought for the reason we did deserve something out of the game".
