St Mary's have made their first Munster junior hurling final after a nail biting 1-13 to 0-14 win over Carrick Davins in the Clonmel Sportsfield.
They will face Cork champions Russell Rovers in the decider on December 8 at the Mallow GAA Complex.
A Stephen Coffey goal and six Eoin Kearns points helped the Western side into a 1-9 to 0-6 lead at the break.
It was backs to the wall in the second half as Carrick closed within two points. Eoin Kearns lifted the siege with two huge points to bring his tally to eight while midfielder Kevin Sheehan got his third.
Two fantastic saves from JP Fitzpatrick also proved crucial as Mary's clung on for a two point win.
Coach Dan Shanahan praised the veteran shot stopper; "Again he was the difference between the teams today, his puck-outs were good, he hasn't conceded a goal in four games now"
He says that it's a big day for a small club like St Mary's; "the supporters, they're waiting 30 years to win a county, and to get to the Munster Club final is unbelievable for the parish"
Chairman Brendan Tobin said that it was a great way to start their 50th birthday celebrations.
