There's a huge prize at stake in Galway this evening as the Waterford FC Under-19's travel to take on the home side in the National League Final

The winners of this much anticipated decider will qualify for Europe next season which could lead to a thrilling tie on the continent.

The young Blues, under the stewardship of Gary Hunt, have made brilliant progress this season and will be confident heading up West, having recorded a thrilling 5-4 victory over Drogheda in last weekend's semi-final.

Blues boss Gary Hunt said they'll have a big support this evening and he reckoned it would be an incredible story if they could pull off a win: "It would be brilliant. The club should be at this end of the business every season. This is a great opportunity to kick on."

He added that the squad has shown a great level of maturity throughout the season. "The majority of the squad is actually underage again for next year which is pleasing for us," he said.

"They've got a good head on their shoulders...they're not going to get over excited, they're not going to get nervous. They're going to go and do their thing. That's what they know."

The action in Eamon Deacy Park is underway at 6pm.
