After a tight and tense battle in Fraher Field, Rathgormack celebrated at the final whistle as they were crowned Waterford senior football champions for the first time since 1999 as they saw off a gallant Ballinacourty in front of 2,095 spectators.
Rathgormack lead at the interval by 2-4 to 0-5 thanks to goals from Paul Drohan and Willie Hahessy, following good team moves.
