Waterford ladies footballer's conclude their Division 1 Lidl National league campaign this weekend with a trip to the capital to face Dublin.

Last weekend saw the Déise come from behind to dethrone All-Ireland champions Meath in Ballinlough (1-9 to 2-5) with Lauren McGregor once again finding the net, her 6th goal so far in the league. Waterford trailed by six points at half-time but restricted the home side to just one point in the second period.

Waterford have ten points on the board following three wins (against Meath, Mayo and Donegal), the campaign has also resulted in a draw with Cork and narrow defeats to Kerry and Galway.

There's no league semi-finals this season and unfortunately Waterford are out of contention for a place in the decider but overall it's been a positive campaign and plenty of positives to take going into the Provincial and indeed All-Ireland series.

Déise defender Emma Murray who is having an immense season so far spoke to WLR Sport earlier this week following the victory over Meath and also looked ahead to the Dublin duel this coming Sunday.
