It's hoped a unique museum in Waterford will be open to the public by March of next year.
Work is progressing on the Museum of the Irish Wake, which will be situated in two houses that are more than 500 years old in Cathedral Square.
The museum will be the only one in the country dedicated to Irish traditions around death and burial, and will add to the five museums already included under the Waterford Treasures umbrella.
Minister for Heritage, Malcolm Noonan, paid a visit to the buildings over the weekend.
WLR's MaryAnn Vaughan has been speaking with Waterford Treasures curator, Éamon McEneaney at the site where this unique museum will be.
