Waterford native Maggie Pescetto competes in the semi-finals of the women's kiteboarding at Olympics this week.
Maggie's parents are Sean Pescetto and Aisling Queally. Aisling is  daughter of Eileen Queally and the late Peter Queally of Kill, County Waterford.
She finished 8th overall from her opening five races and will return to action in the semi-finals.

The sport of kiteboarding  is making its Olympic debut at the 2024 Games.

Action is taking place on the Mediterranean coast at Marseille and Maggie's mother Aisling spoke to WLR from Marseille this week.
