- Human remains found in a house in Youghal, Co. Cork, have been confirmed as missing woman, Tina Satchwell. A man in his 50's who was arrested on suspicion of her murder has remained in Garda custody.
- The news was confirmed by Michael Walsh, Waterford Council CEO, that the business case for Waterford Airport will be presented to the Government in the next coming weeks.
