On today's Waterford at 1 lunchtime news (Oct 10th), a Waterford Councillor has been called upon to clarify his role in the sale of council land for holiday homes, Budget 2024 is underway in the Dáil, and Ireland and the UK have been announced as the hosts for Euro 2028.

  • Council land in Ardmore was sold in 2017 for the development of new holiday homes in the area. Sinn Féin Councillor, Connor McGuinness, has called upon Fianna Fáil Councillor, Tom Cronin, to clarify his role in the sale.
  • Budget 2024 is underway as Minister for Finance, Michael McGrath, addresses the Dáil and will be followed by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Paschal Donohoe.
  • Ireland and the UK have officially been named the hosts of the Euros 2028 by UEFA in Switzerland today.
