Yesterday - August 24th marked Ukrainian Independence Day.
Poignantly, it also marked six months since the Russian invasion of the country.
Ukrainians living in Dungarvan celebrated freedom on the Causeway Bridge - to sing songs, form a freedom chain and pray for their homeland.
They wore bright blue and yellow clothes while celebrating the cause of freedom, and although they were safe to do so, the feeling was bittersweet.
Jordan Norris spoke with the local Ukrainians on how they are feeling, the importance of acknowledging the occasion and their hopes to return to Ukraine in the future.
