Students in Waterford gathered on Thursday as part of a nationwide protest against the cost-of-living and accommodation crisis.
As part of the student protest, those in Waterford walked out of their classes at 11.11 across the country as they called for better supports from government.
They are calling on the government to prioritise the cost of third level education and the accommodation crisis.
Beth O'Reilly, President of the Union of Students in Ireland, says that students want to show that they have had enough.
Pointing to an expected shortage of 20,000 student beds by 2024, the union has criticised the Government for not capping student rents and says Budget 2023 showed no commitment to solving the shortage.
Jordan Norris spoke to those gathered at the student protest on the Waterford campus of the South East Technological University - they say what they've been faced with is simply not good enough.
