A public meeting took place in Clonea Power last night following the decision by Waterford City and County Council last week to grant (conditional) planning permission for a major solar farm in the area.
Concerned locals say they now plan to appeal the decision for the project which is earmarked for 141 hectares of land.
More than 100 people attended last night’s meeting in the Clonea Parish Hall.
WLR News Editor Kieran Foley was there and spoke to some of those present including Maurice Power, Ann Troy, Bernadette Whelan and Tom Coughlan.
First he spoke to Julia Drohan who chaired the meeting.
