This second series of Muintir na Déise features people from An Rinn, Waterford's Gaeltacht.
The programmes are presented by Waterford and Ring native, broadcaster and writer Catherine Foley.
The participants tell their stories of growing up, finding work, getting married, rearing families as well as their beliefs, wisdom and reflections on life as it was lived in this corner of Waterford during the last century.
This all-Irish series celebrates their lives as well as showcase the wealth of Irish that is still spoken and used in the Ring and Old Parish Gaeltacht area.
About Dónal Ó Conghaile
Dónal Ó Conghaile, who was born in 1942, is a former Waterford County Manager and before that he was county manager in Roscommon.
He was reared in Kilbrien outside Dungarvan, where his father was postman and his mother was Mary Kiely.
He remembers the big snow of 47 when his father had to carry his sister three miles to reach the nearest doctor.
He went to the CBS in Dungarvan for his second-level education.
He looks back at the achievements he is most proud of.
Donal moved to live in Ring with his wife Cáit, in the late 1990s.
Today he is very active in a range of organisations including being chairperson of Care of Aged in Dungarvan, former chair of the West Waterford Food Festival up to and including 2018 and an active member of his local church.
