With the recent announcement of the new Technological University (SETU), WLR aired a documentary capturing more than 50 years of history from the college on the Cork Road.

Earlier this year, Minister for Higher Education Simon Harris officially signed the order under the Technological Universities Act 2018 to establish South East Technological University (SETU). The new entity officially came into existence on May 1st.

SETU is the amalgamation of WIT and IT Carlow.

From There to Here - 50 Odd Years of Waterford Institute of Technology is produced and presented by Rob O'Connor, a lecturer at the college.

In this documentary, you can hear from students, staff and former voices connected with the campus as the RTC / WIT era ends and new university era begins.
