Rathgormack native Richie Kennedy was the guest on this week's "The Sporting Life".
Richie started his life in football playing for Rathgormack, before signing his first pro contract with Crystal Palace.
His life in the English second division started with Brentford, but as Richie will tell you this evening, his debut didn't exactly go to plan.
He spent time with several teams across the English leagues with Crawley Town and Forrest Green Rovers before making the move to Barry Town in Wales.
While he had a brief stint with his home club Waterford United, Richie ended his career back in Wales with Camarthen Town.
Since retiring from playing, Richie has held a second career as a fitness trainer and strength & conditioning coach with teams around Ireland.
