Susan Boyce spoke to Maria about all things theatre after her recent success as Eliza Doolittle in a Waterford production of My Fair Lady.
From the age of seven, Susan has had a passion for acting and theatre. It is at that age that she joined David Hennessy's Stage School.
Although Susan loves theatre, it is not the career path that she went down. Instead, she is a language teacher.
"I like that balance, I have my career which is the opposite and I have my little hobby which is theatre," she tells Maria.
In the musical, Eliza starts off as a "loud, common girl," but by the end she has been transformed into a lady with a different voice and accent.
The musical was produced by the Waterford Musical Society and shown from April 26th - 30th in the Theatre Royal.
