Rachel J. Cooper has been on a mission since last year to make sure there's an easy and engaging way for children to learn the words to our National Anthem. She's hoping to avoid the sight in the future of so many adults at Sporting fixtures who might know the first line, but then end up falling silent as they just don't know the words to the Anthem , while other countries are able to belt out their anthems.
Even though it's only sixty seconds long in the first place, why do so few of us actually know the words or what they mean?
Last year she wrote a book for school children aimed at getting them to really learn the words in a way that will stay with them for life, unlike so many of us who learned it by rote, and then forgot about it. Have a listen to her on The Saturday Cafe with Maria and hear why she thinks it's important , and how to enter a competition to show you've cracked it!
