Catherine Carton or Dainty Dress Diaries on Instagram, joined Maria to talk all things DIY after the release of her debut book.

Catherine has been posting tips and tricks for upcycling your home to her YouTube and Instagram since 2014.

She has now released a book with 50 home crafts that are designed to "awaken your creativity" as she felt that her older projects were getting lost on the internet.

The book Dainty Dress Diaries is named after her YouTube and Instagram accounts.

On her social media, Catherine posts afternoon crafts like candle and soap making as well as more advanced tutorials such as upcycling furniture.

She has painted her kitchen, made a red brick wall with paint and a sponge, and sewn many dainty household items.

Catherine has 200,000 subscribers on YouTube, and almost 90,000 on her Instagram page.
