Singer-songwriter Gilbert O'Sullivan is set to be awarded the freedom of Waterford City and County.
The 77-year-old has sold millions of records and had six UK number-one singles, including 'Nothing Rhymed', 'Clair' and 'Alone Again Naturally'.
Councillors voted unanimously to bestow the honour upon O'Sullivan last week.
Speaking to WLR's Geoff Harris, O'Sullivan said he's really grateful for the acknowledgement.
