Tra Roasters branching out

On this episode of the Hot Desk, I was joined by Tom Weldon and Alan Purcell, about their Tramore-based business Tra Coffee Roasters.

The two men became obsessed with coffee during their days together in the Defence Forces. They're now branching into tea and are hiring another ex-army member of staff to help run the company.

Douglas Carroll partners discuss their profession

It was Engineer's Week, a celebration of the profession in Ireland, and to mark it I was joined recently in studio by Ted Carroll and Pearse Douglas, of Douglas Carroll Engineering in Waterford City.

They discussed what they do, the benefits of being in the South East, and why there's no reason why more women can't become engineers.
