Barrow Princess set sail on March 18th

A new river cruise between New Ross and Waterford City had its first commercial sailing on Friday March 18th.

I was joined by Captain of The Barrow Princess Declan Bates, and the ship's Front of House Rachel Power.

They outlined the offering.

With an ever-growing need for apprenticeships, I focused on the options available to people.

Dungarvan native Eibhilín Hennessy has just completed her apprenticeship with Thermo Fisher in Cork.

She was in studio, and I also spoke to Mary Liz Trant, Director of the National Apprenticeship Office.

Grow Remote Waterford

And Eimear O'Donoghue, founder of consultancy firm "Future Ready" has just established Grow Remote Waterford, a support body for remote workers.

The group had its first meeting on March 24th at Worklab.
