Dog friendly accommodation in Dungarvan

In this week's Hot Desk I heard all about 360 Quay Stay, the latest venture from the team behind 360 Cookhouse and Jitterbeans. The interesting thing about this hotel in Dungarvan is that it's dog friendly. I spoke to Mike Pettit, co-owner of the premises. He spoke to me about why they decided to go down this route. He also discusses how they help furry friends acclimatise.

Mike also told me that the 360 Quay Stay is an 'automatic hotel' - he explained to me what that means.

Kennedy Summer School

The annual Kennedy Summer School makes its return to New Ross from September 2nd to 4th. Organisers are particularly excited to have it back, as it was cancelled last year due to the Pandemic. This year's event is hybrid- a small number of people will attend events at St Michael's Theatre.  But every session will be available to watch online through a live stream on the website. Over 30 speakers will attend the festival, which looks at history, politics, current affairs and more from both an Irish and American perspective.

The Kennedy Summer School has a huge knock-on effect for tourism and the local economy of the South East. I discussed this in further detail with Eamon Hore, Director of Services at Wexford County Council and co-director of the KSS..
