Demand for Irish milk and Irish dairy products is at an all-time high.

This comes as National Milk Day was marked on Saturday, January 11th.

Last year, butter accounted for 26% of Irish dairy exports due to an increase in the value of butter.

This saw the value of Irish dairy exports sitting at €6 billion.

In recent weeks, the heavy snow and freezing conditions saw the role of the Irish farmer make national headlines.

Dymphna from The Big Breakfast Blaa spoke with Laura Forbes, Dairy Chair of the Waterford branch of the IFA.
