Last month saw the official opening of Waterford suicide prevention service Re-a-Suir launch from their premises on Mary Street.
The service, which currently runs on Friday evenings from 10pm is seeking to expand the services which it currently offers, depending on the availability of volunteers.
Volunteers patrol the quays and riverside areas of the city, while also keeping the Mary Street base manned in the event that people in need of services drop in to the service.
Vivienne Byrne and Ray Power spoke to Dymphna Nugent from WLR News at the event.
