Listen Back to Sharon Clancy on Showtime
Listen Back to Sharon Clancy on Showtime.
International Jazz singer, Sharon Clancy is returning to her spiritual home of Waterford. Its's more than 20 years after she first cut her teeth professionally in the City.
As an actress, Sharon appeared at the Theatre Royal in the renown production Pentimenti alongside several other rising Waterford Stars.
Since then, she has enjoyed a stellar career. For more than 13 years she's starred in London’s Westend together with concerts and shows around the world.
Wexford born, Sharon has of course been back to Waterford many times over the years, most recently bringing the house down, again at the Theatre Royal for a sell out fund raiser on behalf of St Patrick’s nursing home in February.
This time, she returns with her own show to launch Jazz Nights at Waterford’s newest music venue, Bank Lane on 24th May.
For this show, Sharon combines an eclectic mix which will appeal to an audience of all ages.
Following numerous critically acclaimed and completely sold performances at Jazz at Johnstown amongst many others, Sharon is again joining forces with up and coming Jazz Star, Waterford’s own Killian Browne - piano, and his Waterford trio (Sean Carey - bass and Eddy Blake - drums) for this unique night.
With shows later in the year around the country, together with a highly anticipated return to the Aberjazz Festival in Fishguard South West Wales coming up over the summer with the recognition from Culture Ireland as one of their recipients to represent Ireland abroad.
