Listen back to Keith Dunphy on Showtime.

Listen back to Keith Dunphy on Showtime. Keith called into studio during a quick visit home.

Originally from Doyle Street in the City Keith chats through his early years right up to the present day. From the early years of Stage Fright he followed his road to RADA and classical training.

Keith graduated from RADA in 1999. He spent many seasons at the RSC playing such roles as Tybalt in 'ROMEO AND JULIET' and Macduff in 'MACBETH'.

Keith's credits include: Peaky Blinders (BBC One), The Wind That Shakes the Barley (directed by Ken Loach), Children of Men (directed by Alfonso Cuaron) and of course Les Miserables opposite Anne Hathaway.

Keiths choices of music include

  • Somethings Coming (West Side Story)
  • Greased Lightning (Grease)
  • All I Care About Is Love (Chicago)
  • Reviewing the Situation (Oliver)
  • Chavaleh (Fiddler on The Roof)
  • One Day More (Les Miserables)

Along the way Kieth gives a great insight into his dear friend Bryan Flynn (RIP). He also explores the challenges of a working class lad (in his words) from Doyle Street who chooses to go to RADA. Of course we also get to hear about 'that' scene in Les Mis with Anne Hathaway.
